This is a small and traditionally typical ski village in the Alps just above Annecy in Haute Savoie. I actually lived there. Every Friday, the town would ring the church bells and have "vin chaud" free! (masculin, le vin est chaud) Of course, it was to welcome the new wave of vacationers, but they didn't stop anyone living in the town partaking. Wearing traditional alpine garb, they'd ladle it out of these huge caldrons, and have a couple of cows present for ambience. Market day was great too. Why did I ever move? Go to La Clusaz, France.
